My first blog, and have no idea what to write and have so much to do at work, but it needs to be done!! So the website can look good. Masha Allah by the grace of Allah we have been working hard to make sure the brand spanking new website was ready for tonight Easy talk show or else head would be rolling.

What a week, the start of this blessed month that I have been patiently waiting for and been eager for, for months for several reason. One being at work over summer has been another excellent and memorable year working with brand new young faces that were keen on volunteering and giving something back to their community. The young people are so energetic.. (not saying I am not young) and full of life and care, their commitment to volunteer over 30 hours a week at the age of 16, 17, 18 and up to 23 is such a blessing when I was their age all I thought about was money…money and money. But the highlight of the summer must be taking young people on a 3 day cooking course in a organic farm in Essex.. Learning how to cook Ratatouille, stir fry and profiteroles (YUMMY).. Thank you Allah for allowing me to see how much fun and hardworking it can be cooking.. May Allah bless all our MUM 'sand our sisters too… (and brothers who cook)

The second highlight of my summer would be taking another great bunch of kids to Cornwall for an exchange, visiting the HM coastguards, being on a helicopter and not to mention visiting the fist Satellite built on UK soil, it’s massive, oh not to mention this BT Museum allows you to call anywhere in the world for FREE.. so me being an Bengali I called back home and spoke to my grandma.. she got a bit worried coz I never call!! I pray for my Granma she has been fantastic and recently in bad health…

The BEST highlight would be doing water sports like Kayaking, that was ok until we started doing windsurfing.. me being me rarely any strength to pull up the sail.. keep on dropping it and falling left, right and centre to the water….. after several go’s (more like 55 go’s) I finally managed to lift the sail only for 10 seconds and back wallop in the water again…then something amazing and scary happened in the far distance I saw a FIN.. yes a shark fin like the movies that I saw when I was young (Jaws)..

The Fin was nearer to another student of mine but he was really far away, the speed boat with the instructor was next to him so I thought Thank Allah he should be ok.. I got scared and started praying and shouting to my other student about 200 yards away from me.. ‘SHARK, Shark I screamed’ he looked at me and got on the board… both of us on the board and me praying..

A minute later the speed boat comes closer and I see Dolphin’s (2) jumping up next to it!! WOW what a site and amazing weird feeling... a sense of fear and joy!! As the speed boat came nearer we got on the boat.. and it jumped right next to me.. and it followed us till we got to the shore… Allah has created some beautiful creatures on this earth and some of us only see few.

This was my summer.. but now to ‘real work’ marking students coursework and getting ready for another project.. Thank you Allah
